Professor Herb Sewell

Professor Herb Sewell Pro Vice-Chancellor/Vice President, the University of Nottingham-UK Professor Sewell graduated from the University of Birmingham. He gained a BDS in 1973, with honours (o.path) and various prizes, and then pursued postgraduate studies in Immunology with Professor P G H Gell FRS, obtaining his MSc and PhD in 1978. He subsequently qualified in Medicine (Leicester 1983). Professor Sewell held academic/NHS appointments in the Universities of Birmingham, Leicester, Glasgow and Aberdeen before coming Professor of Immunology at the University of Nottingham in 1990.
